Location, getting here

Ludwig Museum is located inside the Palace of Arts (Művészetek Palotája or MÜPA). The Museum's three floors are in the west wing of the building ensuring a spectacular view from the exhibition halls and the balcony and terrace. 

 

Even when walking on foot along the river you can reach us within 30 minutes from the Great Market Hall.

By public transport
Take suburban railway (HÉV) No. H7 or tram No. 1 and get off at stop “Közvágóhíd.” Arriving by trams No. 2 and 24, or buses No. 23, 54, 55 you should get off at stop “Müpa – Nemzeti Színház.”
Boat lines D11 or D12 southbound, to the last stop (“Müpa – Nemzeti Színház HÉV megálló”). Please note that D11 is running only on weekdays, also, normal BKK tickets and passes are valid for boats only on weekdays. On weekends, there is an extra charge to be paid. By bike
Along the Danube bank you’ll find a well-marked cycle path. Reaching the museum, you can leave your bike at the bicycle racks, or, if you are using the public bike-sharing system you’ll also find here a MOL Bubi docking station.

 

By car
Visitors can park on nearby streets for free, or in Müpa multi-level underground garage, where you will be charged by the hour (400 HUF/hour). For further information, please visit Müpa’s website.

The entire museum building (entrance, floors, exhibition rooms) is easily accessible for wheelchair users.
