The Venice Biennale Office is responsible for organizing the participation of Hungary at the architecture and art exhibitions of the La Biennale di Venezia.
Overseen by the national commissioner of the Biennale, the office announces and manages the curatorial competition each year, prepares the exhibition, the catalogue and the communication of the project, maintains relations with the curator, the exhibiting artist(s) and the responsible officials at Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia.
The Office is responsible for carrying out the project, organizing the opening ceremony, managing and dismantling the exhibition.
Besides managing the exhibition, it is also responsible for documentation and research, gathering and archiving the documents, press materials and publications related to the Biennale. It participates in developing the Biennale Archive at the museum’s library.
The Office is also the manager of the Hungarian Pavilion, which under the property management of the institution.
