Hungarian Pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia
Venezia, Giardini

At this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, bearing the title Reporting from the Front, (appointed chief curator: Alejandro Aravena) the Hungarian pavilion features a project that reflects the changing roles assumed by contemporary art. The exhibition of Arkt architecture studio demonstrates how it was possible to create a living social space based solely on local collaboration, without a client or money - by recycling a run-down building in the Gárdonyi Garden in Eger.

Curator: Gábor Fábián, architect (arkt)
Co-curator: Dénes Fajcsák, architect (arkt)

The exhibition project as well as the curators were elected through an open competition by a jury of experts.
