Simon Starling – Three Birds, Seven Stories, Interpolations and Bifurcations
June 13, 2008. - August 03, 2008.

Simon Starling (b.1967) is one of the most interesting figures in the contemporary international art scene, known throughout the world for his site-specific projects. His works are always preceded by thorough research in which he transforms and reinterprets existing objects. His installations take the form of a complex sculptural unit: elements bearing apparently far-removed cultural and historical references are brought into a single narrative. Since Starling’s work takes its final form only in the course of his research, the Budapest project is bound to have some interesting surprises for all of us.
Simon Starling won the prestigious Turner Prize in 2005.

The exhibition is being produced in collaboration with the Folkwang Museum of Essen and Galerie Doria, Paris, with financial support from ELMŰ Nyrt. and ÉMÁSZ Nyrt.
