The Hungarian Museum of Photography in Kecskemét
The Hungarian Museum of Photography in Kecskemét treasures both Hungarian and international works of photography to different standards. The Museum, as far as its Hungarian collection is concerned, attempts to show an overall picture, treasuring photogaphs and inheritances by the major artists, from every age, and reflecting every school of art. For want of funds, however, the Museum is in a position to engage only and solely in the following activities: purchasing a limited number of international works of photography and trading works of art by outstanding artists, such as Alinari, Eve Arnold, Mario de Biasi, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Imogen Cunningham, Frantisek Drtikol, Walker Evans, René Groebli, Lotte Jacobi, Yousuf Karsh, Erna Lendvai-Dirksen, Helmar Lerski, Robert Mapplethorpe, James Nachway, David Seymour, Edward Steichen.

For the most part, the Museum is proud of the photos of photographers, who left Hungary and acquired fame abroad. The Museum boasts a considerable amount of works by André Kertész, László Moholy-Nagy, György Kepes, Robert Capa, Cornell Capa, Paul Almásy, Brassai, Márton Munkácsi, Ata Kando and others. It is to no lesser extent that the Museum appreciates works of art by the most outstanding artists that remained in Hungary, such as József Pécsi, Rudolf Balogh, Károly Escher, Angelo, Olga Máté, and another five-hundred artists. In the storage rooms of the Museum, there are photographs by all the contemporary artists of fame, like Tamás Féner, Péter Korniss, Gábor Kerekes and others.
