He is a media artist, founding member of the Újlak Group between 1989 and 1995, organizer of the most progressive alternative exhibition space in Budapest, Tűzoltó u. 72, from 1990 to 1996, founder of the non-profit gallery U. F. F. in 1997. In the mid-1990s, he turned from collage-like images to photo-based digital imaging, while at the same time he created videos, sound installations and the visual design and music for several contemporary dance performances. His artistic practice is characterised by an exploration of the interplay between electronic music and image at the crossroads of conceptual and popular culture. As he writes: “For me, sound is the essential input of consciousness fed by different sensory channels”. His work takes place at a time of an important paradigm shift in music culture, the analogue-digital shift, which is also reflected in his work in terms of the technical equipment and the life world he represents. The multimedia installation Le patron est devenu fou (The boss has gone mad) is a puzzle-like construction of visual elements derived from the visual references provided by mass media.
