„In 1991, I made a manipulated black and white photo series based on a reminiscence of an old ID photo. That photo is from the time before my military service – the late 70s, right before my “bald” existence. The message of the catch 22 manipulated by my life circumstances of the time was justified by this later – post-velvet-revolution – virtual, computer-deformed model.” “The heads appearing on the small LCD screens change unnoticeably: by the time the viewer returns to the image, there is a new constellation. This may question the permanence of the image, which is made possible by state-of-the-art video technology. For each image there are 22 spare images, which keep morphing in an endless loop.” (Péter Rónai)
