Olga Tobrelutsz

(Leningrád, 1970 – )

Lives and works in St Petersburg. In 1989–91 she studied at State Architectural and Building University, Architecture department. In 1991 she founded Ornament Investigation Laboratory at Leningrad Society A-Z. In 1992–4 she studied at ART+COM institute (Berlin), computer graphic and animation department. Since 1994 she is a professor of NAFA, New Technologies department. In 1995 she won the first prize Videovision at the Third Reality Festival in Saint Petersburg for the Woe From Wit film, in 1998 she won the second prize the Best European Computer Graphic at the festival GRIFFELKUNST, Gamburg. In 1998–2000 she founded The Centre of Photography Art in the Youth House in Petrograd Region of ST Petersburg. In 2000 she was among the first ten winners of international media-institution competition (Taiwan). Her works are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, State Tretiakov Gallery, MMoMA, New Museum, Ekaterina foundation and others.
