Request for film/take photography

You can read the Privacy Policy here.

Terms of use:

Under Act LXXVI of 1999 on copyright law, photographs about artworks taken with the purpose of reporting and informing the public on current, daily events – within a reasonable compass justified by the purpose of publication - comes under free use and is therefore not subject to royalty or artist’s consent, however, permission of the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art is essential.

After completing the form and sending it to the Communication and PR Department (pr@ludwigmuseum.hu), Ludwig Museum will confirm the request via e-mail.

The official, signed filming or photography permission will be issued to the crew/photographer at Ludwig Museum’s information desk on the day of shooting. This gives authorisation to movement and work on the premises of the Ludwig Museum.

Publicly displayed art, craft and photography works as well as any single pieces or details of them may be shown in daily newspapers, journals, news programmes and programmes on any other channel, but the complete exhibition material in full must not be recorded in any form.

If the reproduction of an exhibited artwork is intended for sale or serves revenue-generation purposes as well (i.e. it is not linked to a current event, but is intended for use as e.g. a book illustration, or detail of a larger arts programme of broader compass) it is indispensable to obtain copyright permission from the copyright owner in advance.

In this case, please, approach the head of the Exhibitions and Collection Department for further information.
