Painting Prize of the Hungarian Asphalt LTD 1999

The Hungarian Asphalt ltd (Magyar Aszfalt Kft.) has announced its painting competition and art price for the third time.
This year the Jury awarded the following young artists from 105 entries:

1st Prize: Kinga Hajdú (b.1964)
2nd Prize: András Braun (b.1967)
3rd Prize: Katalin Szalai (b. 1972)

Special Prize for emerging artist:
Kriszta Nagy (b.1972)

Exhibition Prize:
Sándor Rácmolnár
Dezső Szabó
Imre Weber

The Austrian Bau Holding (with the Hungarian Asphalt Ltd as its biggest branch company) started its collecting activity in 1989. In its wake, MAGYAR ASZFALY KFT. launched its own competition (for painters under 40) in 1997.
