Walking is more than simply getting from one place to another. When we set out on foot, we experience the world around us at a different pace: we notice details, make connections, and give ourselves time to observe and reflect.
The exhibition Walk This Way. The Art of Walking explores walking not merely as an everyday form of movement, but as a means of discovery and understanding. Using the method of slow looking, we slow down our gaze and take the time to linger in front of individual works. By deepening our attention, we can discover new layers in the artworks while also becoming more aware of our own feelings, thoughts, and associations.
Through looking together, we may discover that sometimes the most important insights are reached by taking the slower path.
Participation in the programme is included with a valid admission ticket to the temporary exhibition Walk This Way. The Art of Walking.
